In starting a new business, I have discovered the ‘to do’ list is never ending. It’s easy to get wrapped up in all of the things needed in order to make a business successful. I’ve been hard at work checking things off of this list one by one. However, today, I wanted to take a step back and simply introduce myself. I have a lot of new followers on my Facebook business page and thought this would be a perfect time to tell you a bit about myself and how I got into the business of everything babies! So here goes…..Hello! My name is Rhonda Cunningham and I am a Harrodsburg, KY Baby Photographer!
A Bit About Me
First and foremost, I am a wife and mother. I have an incredible little family and consider myself one of the luckiest beings on the planet. We have a quaint little home in rural Mercer County and I couldn’t be happier. We are growing our family by one this January!
My father was a professional photographer back in the days of film photography. His focus was primarily weddings, but to this day, I love going through the many albums of pictures he took of my childhood. Very early on, I developed a great love for pictures. I, myself, started creating albums and scrapbooks as early as elementary school. It was in 2006 that I received my first fancy DSLR Camera. From then until now, I have spent a good chunk of my time learning all of the ins and outs of creating art through photography.
If you ever visit my home, you will find the walls adorned with pictures of everything from posed portraits of my daughter to shots of my travels around the world. I simply LOVE pictures. Each time I pass by a photograph of something, it takes me back to that time in my life and gives me a small glimpse of what it’s like to turn back time.
From Hobby to Professional
With the birth of my daughter, I decided to take my photography hobby to a whole new level. It was then that I fell in love with photographing babies. There is nothing sweeter than capturing a newborn’s sweet smile. Or the silly grin of a 7 month old that has just learned to sit. Furthermore, there is something so rewarding in seeing a mom’s face the first time she sees her sweet newborn’s first professional portraits. The more I photographed newborn and baby sessions for friends and family, the more I knew it was definitely my cup of tea. So, here I am now.
